Anna Wiles
Anna feels that God has called her out of her comfort zone into a space of radical vulnerability to challenge and inspire women of all ages in their walk with God. Years of teaching and developing curriculum has fortified her passion for reminding women of God's presence, God's plan, and God's faithfulness.
Currently, she is writing a book about the hard-won process of learning to allow God to define your self-worth.

Expectations of God
In this session, we wrestle with the tension of being prospered in a place of suffering. Why does God prosper Joseph in slavery and in prison, rather than just delivering him from the suffering? How is it that Joseph doesn’t lose his faith in God during these 13 long years of suffering? We can learn much from the posture of Joseph’s heart in this story.
Genesis 39:2 (NIV)
”The Lord was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master.“
The Teacher is Calling
In this session, we dive into John 11, where we find Mary and Martha deep in grief shortly after the passing of their brother Lazarus. Jesus arrives in Bethany and everyone assumes it’s too little, too late. They are angry, disappointed, and in shock. We will come alongside Mary as she processes her grief and is not nearly as eager to greet Jesus as her sister Martha is. No, Mary stays seated in the house when Martha runs out to meet Jesus. But even amidst this rejection, Jesus tells Martha to let Mary know that, “The Teacher is here and He is calling for her.”

Anna Wiles spoke at our Ladies Day in 2022, and we’d love to have her again! During the planning process she communicated effectively so we could get our marketing materials created. She assisted with development of the event’s schedule, providing her plan for the day and any materials needed. On the day of the event she was well prepared, poised, and authentic. More importantly, she spoke truth from Scripture. She respects what the Scriptures say and does a great job applying it to everyday life, the ups, downs, and everything in between . Many of our participants asked for her to speak at future events. We hope to have her back one day!

Anna Wiles is an engaging, personable, and humble Christian servant. These qualities are always apparent when she speaks. She is articulate and has that rare ability to speak to both the head and heart. The former quality comes as no surprise since she is from a family of scholars, ministers, and missionaries. The later quality arises from her commitment to love God and neighbor. Anna is as comfortable speaking to a small group as she is a large crowd. Every time I hear her, I walk away informed and encouraged.

As one who has observed and worked alongside Anna Wiles in a variety of service and leadership positions at our church, I can highly recommend her as a speaker. We served together on the Women’s ministry team and on a church remodel planning committee. I’ve been a member of a Ladies Bible Class that she led and participated in many Bible classes with her. In all these situations and more, Anna has demonstrated biblical wisdom and insight with a deep grasp of scripture and its meaning for the Christian life. As the keynote speaker for our church’s women’s seminar, she was poised, well-prepared, and articulate. Her presentations were thoughtful, instructive, practical, and encouraging to the walk of faith.

"Ruth: Loss, Love, & Legacy" by Kelly Minter
This seven-week bible study has been just what I needed during a season of grief and leaning in hard to trusting the Lord’s direction and call over everything else. In fact, Kelly addresses this directly and calls this act “weeping forward”. Weeping forward is one of the many qualities that we love about Ruth. She is extremely loyal to Naomi and continues to put one foot in front of the other despite how broken her heart is.
Kelly illuminates the text in fresh ways and ties so many parts of the New Testament and Old Testament together. I love that you have easy access to the weekly teaching videos, so you don’t have to buy an expensive leader guide to fully enjoy this one! Highly recommend it!

"Get Out Of Your Head: Stopping the Spiral of Toxic Thoughts" by Jennie Allen
This book is POWERFUL! Jennie Allen names her doubt and fears, and all of the ways that the devil has tried to derail her faith and ministry. Then she does a deep dive into explaining the neuroscience behind our thoughts, in a way that is very accessible. She explains how our thoughts become our reality even when that’s the last thing we want. Her writing style is easily digestible and she shared many relatable fears and stories.

"Boundaries: When to Say Yes, How to Say No to Take Control of your Life" by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend
Every human being should read this book. Full stop. I would recommend this book to every person I know. People with strong boundaries are the healthiest people, the people who can truly give out of love, and the people I want to be friends with.
I first read this book in a year-long season of counseling. My counselor recommended this book to me in our second session because it’s foundational to what so many of us get wrong every day. With the skills this book gave me I was able to create healthy boundaries, communicate my needs, and give to those around me freely and not out of obligation.
